  • Gamers Guild AZ Thames and Kosmos Masters of Crime: Rapture GTS

    Masters of Crime: Rapture

White sandy beaches, the gentle sound of waves, and a well-functioning drug cartel: this is what the "Isla de Cubaidos" is known for — that, and its international superstar Dayana. But for you, the Caribbean paradise could soon become hell because the secret drug network that you have built up on the island is threatened by a public scandal: Dayana has disappeared on the island without a trace. Can you find out what happened to her before the police search party arrives and inspects your island? Masters of Crime: Rapture is a co-operative deductive murder mystery game in which players must solve puzzles, follow clues and make decisions to solve a case. They do this using the included deck of cards, twelve hidden realistic clue documents, and the Internet. Through a choose-your-own-adventure mechanism, players make decisions that influence the course of the game and lead to solving the case in the end. One by one, they enter different realistically designed locations and encounter the various suspects. Then they choose from three different ways to deal with the situation and receive points based on their decisions. Complex puzzles and escape room elements must be solved in order to progress further in the case. The game is closely intertwined with the real world, and players have to keep using traditional apps like Google Maps or Wikipedia to gather information. Email, detailed web pages, and cell phone calls are also part of the immersive gaming experience.

  • Gamers Guild AZ Sweaterbear Bear Mountain Camping Adventure: Extreme Weather (Pre-Order) AGD

Bear Mountain Camping Adventure: Extreme Weather

Don't forget your umbrella and rain boots to combat the extreme weather introduced in this expansion. Earn a lantern to protect your hand and experience even more fun activities. With this expansion, weather will affect how the game is played through Weather Events. All of the possible Weather Events are shown across the Weather Board. The game is played in rounds. The first round starts before the first player takes their turn, and ends when the gameplay gets back around to the first player (just before they take their second turn). The purpose of the Weather Event Tracker matching the color of the first player's Player Mover (camper) is so that all players know exactly when each round begins and ends. At the beginning of each round, players decide who will roll the Weather Die for the round (it doesn't matter who rules the dice each round), to see which Weather Event will take effect. To know which die to roll each round, you will look at the forecast. If the Forecast Token is sitting on a sunny space then you'll rule the white Weather Die. If it's sitting on a stormy space, you'll roll the black Weather Die. Since the Forecast Token starts on his sunny space, you'll roll the white Weather Die for the first round. After rolling the die, move the Weather Event Tracker to the Weather Event for that round. This way, all players will know what the Event is throughout the round. You can then put the Weather Die back in its space on the Weather Board.

  • Gamers Guild AZ Crowd Games LLC En Route (Pre-Order) AGD

    En Route

En Route is a flip-and-write game in which you create tour routes to the most interesting landmarks of the real-world cities (London, New York City, Hong Kong, Paris, Cairo, and Rio de Janeiro) and the made-up First City packed full of geek references. Every city features basic and specific mechanisms, so all of them play and feel differently. Cards are not flipped randomly instead, an active player plays one card face up, and two players next to them secretly choose one card each. Then, an active player selects one of the two and discards the other. After that, all players use coordinates and other information from the two cards left on the table to draw their tourists and routes. During the game, route segments are drawn, connecting different types of tourists to various landmarks and attractions. A game of En Route lasts exactly 10 rounds. At the end of the game, each place of interest on the final route will earn players Prestige Points according to its rules. Whoever creates the most satisfying tour route, wins.

    Storm Raiders

For thousands of years all we have known is the Rift Storm. It destroyed our empire, sundered our land and severed us from the Old World we once ruled. Sheltered within the eye of the storm we fought to survive, imprisoned in our last remaining city, desperately clinging to life. As the ages passed the eye slowly grew in size enabling exploration beyond the city and a startling discovery. The storm was still connected to the Old World, its erratic rift capturing hapless Atlantic crossings and wrecking them upon Atlantis' broken shores. The age of the Storm Raider was born: Brave souls who for fame and fortune would dare the might of the Rift Storm, to save these precious offerings and bring hope to our dying world. The Storm Season is upon us, all eyes look to the sky and we wonder are you the Storm Raider Atlantis has been waiting for? The aim of Storm Raiders is to be the player with the most prestige at the game's end. Storm raiding is a perilous task, filled with many dangers - the most devastating being the mighty Rift Storm that encircles the many islands. Players will want to stay close to the storm, without being overcome by its immeasurable force.Prestige is gained by salvaging wreck sites, fulfilling contracts, acquiring crew, upgrading their vehicles, and earning medals. Players will be drafting dice each turn to either travel using their trike, plane, or sub, or to instead take some much-needed time to rest and repair their battered vehicles. After 6 rounds of traversing the splintered landscape, players will add up their prestige points to determine who will be remembered as the greatest Storm Raider of their time.

  • Gamers Guild AZ Greyridge Games Weirdwood Manor GTS

    Weirdwood Manor

Weirdwood Manor is a cooperative board game that marries great adventure gameplay with some euro-inspired underpinnings, as you and your group of valiant companions battle to protect Weirdwood Manor and its enigmatic ruler, Lady Weirdwood, from an invading Fae Monster and his Clockwork Scarab minions. The Manor is a mysterious and magical place where rooms and the pathways between them can shift as time progresses. The game features a unique temporal mechanic; every time a player or the Fae Monster takes an action, time will move forward in the game and the connections between the rooms will shift via unique rotating corridor rings on the game board. Players have some agency in how to use their actions to affect how quickly (or slowly) time moves, but beware, if the players use up their allotted time and have not defeated the monster, they lose! You will assume the role of one of six asymmetrically designed characters as you battle against one of the three different Fae Monsters, each with their own unique mechanics and loss conditions. You’ll make use of dice drafting, card play, resource management, and location actions as you move through the ever-shifting Manor in pursuit of the Fae Monster and his minions. You can also recruit additional companions to aid you and you will improve your character’s abilities as you earn experience. Each turn, the players will use their own deck of cards to take one primary action. Rooms they move to can offer additional actions and benefits. As well, players can make use of their own unique player and companion powers. These combinations can create varied and potentially powerful chains of actions on a player's turn. However, after each player's turn the Fae Monster will act, using their own custom deck of cards. As the game progresses, the Fae Monster’s strength will grow and things will become more dire for the players so they will have to work together to solve the challenges in front of them. The game offers deep tactical choice and a degree of unpredictability that will make traditional leader quarterbacking virtually impossible; the players will truly have to strategize as a group to succeed as the threat deepens! And so, if the players can defeat the Fae Monster before time runs out - or before the Fae Monster completes his own unique victory condition, the players will win the game and have kept Weirdwood Manor safe for now... until he next threat arrives!

    Yomi: Persephone Deck

Yomi (second edition) updates the original Yomi game with slight rule modifications and balance tweaks, in addition to adding ten new characters. Yomi is a fighting game in card form in which physical dexterity is replaced by hand management skills. Just like in a fighting game, you have to know your character, know the matchup, and know your opponent. Each character has a deck that follows the same conventions as deck of playing cards. This makes it easy to learn the contents of your deck: numbered cards are normal moves, face cards are special moves, and aces are super moves. Yomi is a competitive card game specifically designed and balanced to hold up to tournament play with many years of playtesting and tournaments behind it. It tests the skills of valuation and Yomi. Valuation refers to your ability to judge the relative value of moves (or cards) as they change over the course of the game. Yomi, the game's title, refers to your ability to "read" the patterns that your opponent unconsciously falls into. It's designed for high level play to be as interesting as possible and as balanced as possible. Game Modes 1v1, the main mode 2v2 Team Battle, inspired by video games such as Marvel vs Capcom A solo mode to learn basic proficiency against an automated opponent A 3v3 mode (can be played as 1v1 with multiple characters) inspired by video games such as King of Fighters Gameplay Each player shuffles their deck and draws an opening hand of seven cards. Turns are simultaneous and players draw one card per turn. Each player plays a combat card face down, then reveals the cards simultaneously. Resolve combat. Blocking an attack lets you draw a card; hitting with an attack or throw allows you to combo more cards from your hand; dodging an attack lets you hit back with a single move. Bluff phase. After it's resolved who won combat, but before any combos are played, the player who might get hit by a combo can play a facedown Joker or bluff card. After the attacker finishes their combo, reveal that facedown card. If it's a Joker, the combo does no damage. If it's a non-Joker card, the combo does full damage as usual. Power up: Players can discard pairs, 3-of-a-kinds, or 4-of-a-kinds to search their decks for Aces (super moves). Also, if they performed any chain combos (straights of sequential normal attacks, such as a 2,3,4,5) that turn, they can also search for Aces. The game ends when one player is reduced to 0 life, or when one player draws the last card of their deck. In that case, time is out and the player with the highest life wins.

As for the characters, they are: • Quince (challenging to play well) Quince can play TWO cards in combat sometimes! Quince can spin his combat card around after seeing what the opponent played! Politicians are straightforward and truthful, but this deck is very tricky to play • Onimaru (easy to understand) Onimaru has attacks that can beat any other attacks in the game. Onimaru relies on single hits for high damage, rather than big combos. He can guard crush through an opponent's block. • Bal-Bas-Beta (very difficult to understand) Put your opponent at long range and they can't even damage BBB, but BBB can damage them. BBB can play relatively safely while dealing low damage, then shift to high damage plays to end the game. Robots have a lot of moving parts, so it takes some thinking to understand BBB, but once you do he isn't as hard to play as it seems. • Troq (easy to understand) Troq is simple and powerful. Troq smash. Troq throw 'u'.

    Shaolia: Great Houses

Shaolia: Great Houses is an expansion to Shaolia: Warring States which brings not only new cards, but also new mechanics and game modes to give the players more options in pursuing their paths to victory. The expansion introduces the titular Great Houses. There is also a solo mode new to Shaolia which introduces a Boss for the player to battle. A game of Great Houses proceeds much the same as one of Warring States, but with the addition of the Noble House tiles and Quest cards. These two new components work in tandem. Noble House TilesThese tiles can be purchased during the purchase phase of the game. The currency to purchase them are Quest cards that players have earned in the game. After a Noble House tile has been purchased, it is immediately replaced by another from the deck. Noble House tiles are placed near the player’s territory board, and function the same as Level 1 & 2 cards, with one important exception: They cannot be attacked, blocked, or destroyed, so a player will benefit from their abilities until the end of the game. Quest CardsIf a player completes the requirement listed on a Quest card during their turn, they get to take the quest card into their hands. Another Quest card from the deck is immediately drawn to replace the one taken. As mentioned previously, Quest cards can be used to purchase Noble House tiles. Alternately, you may sell one a Quest card for 2 gold. There are two types of Quest cards: ones that are immediately achieved by meeting their requirements, and ones with 23 open slots that require players to repeat the action listed on the card that many times before they complete the quest. Cards with these repeating quests can only be completed by whoever does the action first, claiming it with one of their quest trackers. A game of Shaolia: Great Houses ends the same turn that someone either gains 18 culture, or does 12 damage to their opponent’s palace.
