Star Trek Ascendancy: Ferengi Civilisation Pack is an expansion for Star Trek: Ascendancy, compatible with Star Trek Ascendancy: Final Frontier and all other civilisation packs. In this civilisation pack your financial acumen guides the growth of the Ferengi Alliance from the Tower of Commerce. As the leading business authority it’s your duty to seek out opportunity, exploit new customers and grow the bottom line until your economy dwarfs the so-called “culture” of other civilizations. Beyond that, a flotilla of Marauders, commanded by profit-hungry DaiMons, stand ready to enforce your mergers and acquisitions across the quadrant. To a Ferengi, profit is everything and the special rules for the Ferengi player reinforce that. 1) PROFIT OVER PROFUNDITYThe Ferengi may never build Culture Nodes. Ferengi never add their Ascendancy level to Hegemony attempts. 2) ONLY LATINUM LASTSDuring your Build Phase, the Ferengi may buy Culture for 5 Production each. The Ferengi may build Production Nodes on any available spot regardless of Capacity type. Other Civilizations devote tremendous resources to scientific and cultural advancements whereas the Ferengi add to the wisdom that has guided their civilization for centuries, the venerated Rules of Acquisition. The very first Grand Nagus set down these guiding principals over ten thousand years ago and each Nagus in succession has been adding to these rules to guide each Ferengi transaction to maximum profitability. The Starting Advancement establishes the Ferengi Commerce Authority, whose agents and liquidators enforce Ferengi Trade Bi-Laws, uphold the Ferengi Bill of Opportunities and ensure that all transactions within the Alliance are true to the Rules of Acquisition. In the game, the FCA allows the Ferengi player to earn 1 Production for each rival Controlled System that has a Ferengi Ship in Orbit. Rule #45 Expand or Die permits the Ferengi to pay the Culture costs of Hegemony and Colonization by paying 2 Production per Culture required. Rule #34 War Is Good For Business allows you to profit from the combative nature of rival species by generating one Production for the Ferengi each time some aggressive ally let their trigger finger do their negotiating instead of their diplomats. Ferengi DaiMons generally strike out on their own for individual profit, but at the behest of their Nagus, they will group their Marauders into larger formations to seek profit and enforce Ferengi trade laws. One such formation is the Commerce Enforcement Squadron, an elite group of Liquidators and Auditors whose authority allow them to enter Systems containing rival Starships in order to ensure that best trade practices are being observed. Of course, opportunity can pop up at any moment, so the authority of an Enforcement Squadron allows them to enter Warp during the Ferengi turn without exhausting a Command to do so. The arrival of the Ferengi Alliance finally shifts the balance of the game away from the foolish ideals of Cultural Advancement or the barbaric need for military conquest and puts the focus squarely on the most important issue facing the Galaxy, personal financial gain.

Each player takes turns drawing a Dare and a Twist card, they must then do them at the same time. If they succeed, they get to keep both cards for 1 pt. If the player fails to, refuses to, or cannot do the combination, the player must draw and do a Punishment card. If the player can't do or refuses to do the Punishment, that player loses all the points they've accumulated so far and must start over from 0. Want an example? Dare, "Act like a Karen that needs to speak to the manager". Twist "Strip to your Underwear." On to the second example: Dare, "Crawl across the room pretending to be a slug". Twist, "Be blindfolded". It’ll be challenging, embarrassing, and even psychologically difficult to overcome. That’s why you can refuse to perform the challenge and draw a “Punishment Card.” Exactly, here’s some examples: “Get sprayed down by a hose”, “Get tickled by everyone else for 15 seconds”, or "Flash everyone playing." Deep Regrets is an unfortunate fishing game about pulling progressively more horrifying things out of the ocean. Decide what to eat, what to sell, what to mount, and how many regrets you're willing to carry, as you push yourself too far and spiral towards a conclusion in this strategic horror fishing game. You'll roll bespoke tackle dice at the start of each turn to determine your strength for that round and then decide whether you'll stay at sea or return to port to sell fish, buy provisions, and recharge your energy. Survey the sizes of shadows on the backs of 9 different fish shoals at three depths, determining what you think you can afford to catch and if you want to risk it for a potentially better reward. Flip fish, spend dice, add them to your collection - but beware of reveal and catch abilities that can have various effects on the game! As your eyes spy more and more horrifying things, you'll collect Regrets cards - which drive up your madness but also give you access to more dice and increase the value of weirder fish. It's a risk/reward scenario as you balance your madness, knowing that at the end of the game the player with the highest value of Regrets will have to discard their most valuable mounted fish. Luckily dragons are greedy, so if you can bribe him with treasures from the battlefield like a barbarian's axe or a phoenix feather, you might persuade him to spare your village. Unfortunately, other villagers in the kingdom have the same idea... In Please Don't Burn My Village!, which is set in the world of Castle Panic, you want to bribe with the right treasure at the right time to keep the dragon's attention — while buying treasures at the black market and cursing the other villagers' treasures. When no treasure remains, the dragon will burn all of the villages except one. Will yours be the one that survives? In more detail, players hold a hand of treasure cards that they can use to 1) bribe the dragon, 2) buy more treasure cards from the black market, or 3) draw a treasure card. When they bribe the dragon, they place the cards in sets in front of them, move the token up in value in the dragon's favor, and deal more cards into the black market. If they instead choose to buy at the black market, they pay from their hand the number of cards indicated on a black market stall, take the cards from that stall into their hand, and move down a treasure in the dragon's favor that matches one of the cards they used to buy their cards. The number of spaces a player moves a token up (when bribing the dragon) or down (when buying at the black market) equals the number cards played. If players don't want to affect the values in the dragon's favor or are out of cards, they can simply draw a card. The game features a push-your-luck ending: every time someone bribes the dragon, cards are turned over and placed in the black market spaces until a matching card or wild is revealed. When no card is found and the deck runs out, the game ends, play stops and players add any cards in their hand to bribes that match cards they previously played. (A player cannot add wild cards and new treasure types at this time.) Then they sum the total value of their bribes, with each card being worth its value in the dragon's favor. Unplayed wild and treasure cards are worth -1 to -4 points. The player with the highest score wins, sparing their village from disaster. Who can best time their bribes to ensure their treasures are most valued by the dragon when the game comes to an end?
