Dawn: Rise of the Occulites - Expansion Tribe Pack (Painted)
The Nimbus Tribe Expansion contains everything you need to add a player to, and expand the world of, your Dawn: Rise of the OcculitesNimbus Tribe Expansion Contents: 5 Nimbus mini's - plastic (Not Painted) 10 Nimbus Objective Cards 10 Nimbus Natural Selection Deck Cards 5 Nimbus Individual Player Boards (1 for each Nimbus Figure) 14 Tokens (5 Nimbus Tribal Tokens, 3 Hidden Tokens and 6 Nymphlet Tokens - (1 ea. Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow) 2 Terrain Overlays (Elevated) 1 Reference Board Description:Behaviour: Despite their appearance, the Nimbus Occulites are a mostly peaceful sub-species who keep to themselves. Not many other Tribes would dare to try and take mountainous land from them. It would be far too dangerous. The Nimbus Tribes only take what they need, but when the temperature drops and food becomes scarce, they are forced to move further away from their mountains, into other Tribes’ land, conducting raids for equipment and resources. They communicate with other Tribes through similar eyestalk movements that have been observed before. Amongst themselves though, they communicate through a series of chirps, whistles and clicks. More recently, Darwin has observed them doing what can only be described as dancing. Jumping and gliding around Lumino Trees with their feathers ruffled and large flowers in their hands. He believes that it might be some form of Tribal dance to attract Nymphlets.Warfare: Nimbus Occulites are traditionally a little weaker in straight hand to hand combat due to their low bone density and as such adpot a more hit and run style of fighting. They like to swoop in and attack from above before making a quick get away. Nimbus Occulites have also been documented as grabbing things in their talons and dropping them onto the enemy or even picking up the enemy themselves! Tricky and fast, the Nimbus Occulites fight with a very different style to other sub-species. The Nimbus Tribes fashion axes from Snow Gum-like tree branches and chiseled stones, held fast by tight vines or reeds. Combined with a swooping charge, these axes can deliver a powerful force that makes the very rocks themselves tremble.Historical Notes: Nimbus are the fourth species of Occulite that was witnessed by Darwin. Early on when Charles Bruce first took Darwin to the Ridge, Darwin found the first Nimbus Occulite Tribe doing battle there. This Tribe had the Orange-bellied Parrot colouration and Darwin kept a close eye on it from then on, regularly visiting the location.

Mandala
The Mandala is the symbol of an ancient and sacred ritual. Colored sand is laid to create a symbolic map of the World before the pattern is ceremonially destroyed and the sand cast into the river. Opponents play their colored sand cards into the two Mandalas, building the central Mountains and laying cards into their Fields. As soon as a Mandala has all six colors within it, the players alternate taking the colors in the Mountain and adding them to their Cup and River. At the end of the game, the cards in a player’s Cup are worth points based on the positions of colors in their River. The player whose Cup is worth the most points is the winner.

Targi
A Targi is a male member of the Tuareg people, who live in the Sahara desert. As tribe leader, you will be trading dates, salt, and pepper to obtain coveted gold coins and advantages. In the game, the desert is a five-by-five grid of cards. Position your Targi figures on the cards that border the desert. You carry out the actions of those cards as well as the cards at the crossroads between them. If you don’t go to the merchant, you won’t be able to trade - and even worse, your opponent will. Or maybe a caravan will bring the merchandise you desire. There are many choices to consider. But don’t wait too long, the desert is harsh and you might miss an opportunity to make a deal. In the next round, a completely different set of offerings will be on the table. The goods cards are the means to the end of getting highly desired tribe cards. These in turn bring advantages during the game and victory points at the end. You can win only if you plan shrewdly and always keep some gold in your pocket.

And perhaps they - like you today - played games to make those stories come to life. A mysterious game about the not so mysterious behavior of mankind: two players compete for the dominance over the Great Plains! With help from the spiritual animal world they overcome hills, cross the lowlands and invade each other's territory in order to become the tribe who will live on. Created by the same designers who brought you Mandala and beautifully illustrated by renowned artist Klemens Franz, Great Plains lets you experience the struggle and fight of our ancestors.

Targi: The Expansion
The expansion of the tribe goes on in Targi: Die Erweiterung, an expansion for Targi. With water as a new element, the tribe has more flexibility in how it will extend itself. More specifically, in the game water functions like a joker, e.g., you can swap two water tokens for any one goods token. Many of the new tribe cards, which replace the set in the base game, allow players to choose to spend gold or water tokens, which can make it a little easier to build. The Targia — a Tuareg woman — is a special pawn like the robber, but has a more positive effect for players. She starts in the opposite direction of the robber and moves each turn one edge card. When you place one of your Targi on the same card, you receive a favor: Either take a goods token of your choice or spend one good to reveal the top card from the draw pile and receive what it shows. Now a less attractive edge card might be more interesting because the Targia offers an additional reward. Finally, shifting sand cards give the players rather strong immediate advantages when they place a Targi on them — but since these shifting sands are placed next to the central playing area, you lose an intersection on the central cards.

Pylos
In Pylos, you want to be one who places the final ball on top of the pyramid. Sounds simple enough, right? At the start of the game, each player has fifteen balls, either light or dark, and they take turns placing them on a game board that has sixteen indentations on it in a 4x4 grid. Once four balls have been placed next to one another in a square, a ball can be placed on top of them, forming a second level of play. Players can then place balls on this second level, eventually allowing a ball to be placed on the third level – and once that level is full, which requires only four balls, a final ball can be placed on the fourth level, with that player winning the game. If a player forms a square of his own color – that is, four balls placed next to one another on the same level – that player can remove one or two of his balls (that don't support anything) from anywhere on the board and place them in his reserve, thereby giving him more balls to place in the future. Whenever a player forms a square that's not entirely his own color, he can "stack" one of his pieces – that is, he can take any ball and place it on this square, locking some pieces in place and making a move without having to place a piece from his reserve. The rules include a variant for children (that removes the square bonus) and one for experts (that allows a player to return 1-2 balls to his reserve when he creates a line of his color).
