Become artificial intelligence and seek ultimate understanding of your reality in Compile, a lane-battler for two! Take on your opponent as you seek to compile protocols across each of three lanes, chaining card abilities on your way to mastering understanding.
Compile challenges you to manage three lanes of cards while facing against your opponent in a race to Compile three Protocols. The game begins with each player drafting their Protocols, which will remain on the board throughout the game. From there, you'll play Commands on each Protocol to increase its value. Each Protocol has different cards to add to your deck, which can be played onto that Protocol. These will dictate your strategy for success!
Players Compile lines along the way by determining whether the value is greater than 10 and greater than your opponent's. You win by Compiling three Protocols.
Certain Protocols synergize better than others. In some players' experiences, they find that playing Protocols with like themes find great synergy with one another, like Life and Water, which both help to cheat out cards. It can also be helpful to counter-pick Protocols to combat your opponents' strategies. This can disrupt their synergies and help you to optimize your Protocol selections.
To add to your experience more and create new synergies, there are various expansions that add new Protocols, such as Love, Hate, and Apathy, as well as their Commands. Currently, there are two Main boxes that include everything you need to get started playing Compile, plus the upcoming Main 3 box and Aux 3 expansion, which are both now available for pre-order.
