What Is Arkham Horror Chapter Two?
Arkham Horror Chapter Two introduces a new core set to the Arkham Horror universe. The living card game is receiving an upgrade, with a fresh introductory campaign, five new investigators, and a new set of cards to add to your collection. Chapter Two is considered both a fresh start and a continuation of the existing story. While not considered a new edition, this release contributes a lot for both longtime fans and those interested in picking up a new living card game.
What Does Chapter Two Add?
Reward cards! These are special player cards that you'll receive for winning campaigns, fulfilling scenarios, or fulfilling other special conditions. You'll have to unlock these in-game before you can add them to your decks. The first of these cards can be earned by completing the introductory campaign, Brethren of Ash.
What Characters Can I Play As?
This set introduces a mixture of new characters and familiar faces, but even the characters you know already will be back with new stats or abilities, so they'll still be unique and interesting to play!
- Joe Diamond is a Seeker investigator, with some new changes to his abilities in tow! His hunch deck is gone to make space for more straightforward investigations.
- Isabella Barnes enters the scene as a Survivor. The sister to Jenny Barnes comes with the ability to use her sanity as a resource to achieve her goals.
- Daniela Reyes returns to take the role of Guardian, adding to her original playstyle of dishing out damage to anyone who attacks her allies.
- Trish Scarborough is this core set's Rogue, sneaking around with a bonus evade action she can use once per turn.
- Dexter Drake takes up the mantle of the Mystic, capitalizing on his original asset-discarding playstyle.
Can I Play Chapter Two With My Old Expansions?
Yes! Chapter Two is completely compatible with all previous Arkham Horror releases. If you're new to the game, you can add any of the existing expansions to your collection and get started with Chapter Two. Otherwise, if you're a longtime fan, you can use this new box to kick off your collection for upcoming releases.
