Community Reminder: Code of Conduct & Code of Conduct Committee
Gamers Guild has always been a Mission First business. Our Mission is to build a safe and inclusive space for everyone. That mission depends on every one of us, staff, volunteers, and community members, living up to our shared values and supporting each other.
The Code of Conduct (CoC) is the foundation of that mission. It sets the expectations that make our spaces safe and inclusive. And it only works wheneveryone participates, both by living it out and by speaking up when something falls short.
What is the CoCC?
The Code of Conduct Committee (CoCC) is a group of community volunteers and senior staff who review serious Code of Conduct concerns. We only act when there is full consensus, and every decision is rooted in both fairness and safety. Our purpose is not punishment. It is to protect the community, and whenever possible, help people return to being thriving, positive members through coaching and collaboration.
When bans occur, it is because there was no other option, and if we publicly disclose that it in our Discord it is because we unanimously agree that person is a safety risk to the wider community of gaming in Arizona.
We're proud of our Code of Conduct Committee and invite you to learn more about them here.
How to Report
If you experience or witness a CoC concern, you can:
Talk to your on-site Manager or scan the Anonymous Report Form QR codes on the side of some of the tabletop tables,
Email us directly at: codeofconduct@gamersguildaz.com,
Anonymous reports are always reviewed. Sometimes they don’t give us enough to take direct action, but they help us watch more closely and spot patterns.
Verifiable reports with names, details, or evidence are generally investigated directly through our structured process.
Together, we uphold the mission that makes Gamers Guild more than just a store. It is a community worth protecting. Please participate in it! Thank you all.
Warmly, Gamers Guild Executives & The Code of Conduct Committee
