Friday the 13th Horror Game Hits

Halloween may be months gone, but Friday the 13th is here to remind you that scares aren’t just for October. I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite horror hits to add a little fear to your February.
Horrified is an easy-to-learn game with a ton of different options for your favored horror flavor. Take your pick from Universal Monsters, American Monsters, Dungeons & Dragons, Greek Monsters, and World of Monsters to see what foul creatures you’ll face. Team up with your friends to banish legendary monsters and save civilians before the terror level gets too high!
Final Girl is an awesome solo game with a ton of expansions to tailor your experience to your favorite horror movies. Your Feature Film is your scenario for gameplay, and you play as the final girl trying to kill the slasher to survive. There are a wide variety of characters and killers to choose from. Just pick up the Core Box and any Feature Film to get started!
The Night Cage is a cooperative horror game where you’ll try to escape a labyrinth with nothing but a candle lighting your way out. Your candle is weak and only illuminates the spaces adjacent to you, making your journey all the more treacherous. As you move through the passageways, the spaces you leave behind disappear, so tread carefully, and choose your path wisely! Get the complete experience by adding on the Shrieking Hollow expansion, and run from The Other, a destructive entity hunting you in the maze.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a semi-cooperative game that puts you in the role of the movie’s characters as you try to escape from Leatherface. As you search for the keys and gas required to escape, Leatherface will chase you across the map. If you’re caught, he’ll take you to the Killing Room, where you’ll face three chances to escape before you’re eliminated.
Cthulhu Wars is an eldritch horror game about bringing about the end of the world. You’ll play as an alien Elder God seeking to claim dominion over what remains of Earth. You’ll mobilize your troops to recruit cultists, summon monsters, and awaken the Great Old One. Once you unlock all six of your spell books, you’ll claim victory for yourself and your faction.
Crooked Moon is a new folk horror roleplaying game compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. Everything you need to get started is included in the box set, with everything from dice and reference cards to maps and a game master screen. Created by the folks at Legends of Avantris, this box set gives you the tools you need to guide your players through a folktale not for the faint of heart.
