We're two weeks away from Free RPG Day, and our Professional Dungeon Masters are raring to go! Pro DMs Kage and Andy are our fearless campaign leaders, guiding players through games using the Dungeons & Dragons and Daggerheart systems. Read on to get to know our game masters and learn more about what games they'll be demoing at Free RPG Day on June 27th!

Pro DM Ryan (he/him) has been a dungeon master for over a decade, with six of those years spent as a professional game master. When starting to DM for Gamers Guild, his mission was to create a safe space for strangers to come together as friends, offering a service for those who wouldn't ordinarily have access to tabletop RPGs. Since starting his game mastering journey, he's added over 20 different TTRPGs to his repertoire, turning his passion into his craft.
"I’m so happy that I get to bring people together and give them the space to do truly exciting and heroic things. Hearing players laugh, cry, shout and cheer together is the greatest feeling," says Ryan.
Ryan will be leading sessions of Daggerheart in Tempe on Free RPG Day from 12-2 PM and 3-5 PM. He looks forward to introducing new players to his favorite game and recommends it to anyone interested in a new, approachable TTRPG.

Pro DM Kage (they/them) began their dungeon mastering adventure inspired by the early seasons of the live-play D&D series Critical Role. Seeing the players collaborate to tell dramatic, hilarious, emotional, and chaotic stories led them to pick up a Dungeon Master's Guide and begin their journey into Faerûn in 2020. Kage began DMing professionally in 2023 and joined the Gamers Guild professional DM team in March.
"What I’m most looking forward to about Free RPG Day is seeing new people sit down at the table, roll dice, make choices, laugh with strangers, and maybe discover the same thing I did: that we're never too old to play pretend," says Kage.
Kage will be leading sessions of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition in North Phoenix from 12-2 PM and 3-5 PM. They look forward to inviting new players into the world of tabletop roleplaying and showing the versatility of the 5th Edition system.
