Planet Unknown
Our planet has run out of resources, and we are forced to move. We have discovered a series of planets and sent our rovers to test their environment with the hope of colonization. Our rovers have confirmed 1-6 viable colonization options. Planet Unknown is a competitive game for 1-6 players in which players attempt to develop the best planet. Each round, each player places one polyomino-shaped, dual-resource tile on their planet. Each resource represents the infrastructure needed to support life on the planet. Every tile placement is important to cover your planet efficiently and also to build up your planet's engine. After placing the tile, players do two actions associated with the two infrastructure types on the tile. Some tile placements trigger "meteors" that make all planets harder to develop and prevent them from scoring points in the meteor's row and column. Planet Unknown innovates on the popular polyomino trend by allowing simultaneous, yet strategic turn-based play via the Lazy S.U.S.A.N. space station in the center of the table.

Planetarium
Matter swirls around a new born star, coalescing on the planetoids that orbit it. Planets evolve, grow and migrate in their orbits, forming a unique solar system by the end of every game. Planetarium is a game of creation, chaos and terraforming on the grandest scale. Players are competing to crash combinations of elements onto planets that then allow them to play cards to evolve the planets in a variety of ways, with each player looking to evolve planets in the system to suit their own secret endgame goals. On a turn a player will firstly move a matter or planet token in a clockwise direction around the star. The board is mapped with a series of lines, tracing orbits around the star, and it is along these lines that the tokens are moved. If a matter token moves onto a space occupied by planet token then the matter token is placed on the player's mat (on the respective planet). In the same way, planets can also be moved onto matter tokens, placing the matter tokens on the player's mat. In the second part of a turn a player can play Evolution cards from their hand at the cost of the matter tokens they have collected on their player mat (some cards have other special requirements to play). If a player plays a card, they score the cards points and check to see if their card has changed the state of the planet from hostile to habitable by checking the total habitable and hostile points played to the planet (some end game goals require planets to be hostile or habitable). The player may then draw a card from one of three decks, Low Evolution (cards that score less points but require less matter to play), High Evolution (cards that score more and are harder to play), and Final Evolution (cards that can only be played on a player's final turn). The thematics of the game have been developed with an eye on the science, led by a scientist working on NASA's search for life on Mars. Evolution cards thematically include all kinds of planetary phenomenon, from asteroid impacts, atmospheric effects, to geological events. Final Evolution cards mark the relatively stable state a planet is in at the end of the solar system's development and include classifications for the final planets such as Hot Jupiter or an uninhabitable frozen dwarf planet. The game consists of a beautiful game board with handfuls of matter tokens, approximately 36 Evolution cards and 16 Final Evolution cards (all with unique space art and flavor), player mats, and player and score markers.

Please Don't Burn My Village
A fearsome dragon is threatening to burn all the villages in the kingdom! Luckily dragons are greedy, so if you can bribe him with treasures from the battlefield like a barbarian's axe or a phoenix feather, you might persuade him to spare your village. Unfortunately, other villagers in the kingdom have the same idea... In Please Don't Burn My Village!, which is set in the world of Castle Panic, you want to bribe with the right treasure at the right time to keep the dragon's attention — while buying treasures at the black market and cursing the other villagers' treasures. When no treasure remains, the dragon will burn all of the villages except one. Will yours be the one that survives? In more detail, players hold a hand of treasure cards that they can use to 1) bribe the dragon, 2) buy more treasure cards from the black market, or 3) draw a treasure card. When they bribe the dragon, they place the cards in sets in front of them, move the token up in value in the dragon's favor, and deal more cards into the black market. If they instead choose to buy at the black market, they pay from their hand the number of cards indicated on a black market stall, take the cards from that stall into their hand, and move down a treasure in the dragon's favor that matches one of the cards they used to buy their cards. The number of spaces a player moves a token up (when bribing the dragon) or down (when buying at the black market) equals the number cards played. If players don't want to affect the values in the dragon's favor or are out of cards, they can simply draw a card. The game features a push-your-luck ending: every time someone bribes the dragon, cards are turned over and placed in the black market spaces until a matching card or wild is revealed. When no card is found and the deck runs out, the game ends, play stops and players add any cards in their hand to bribes that match cards they previously played. (A player cannot add wild cards and new treasure types at this time.) Then they sum the total value of their bribes, with each card being worth its value in the dragon's favor. Unplayed wild and treasure cards are worth -1 to -4 points. The player with the highest score wins, sparing their village from disaster. Who can best time their bribes to ensure their treasures are most valued by the dragon when the game comes to an end?

Positano
Welcome to scenic Positano! You and your friends are builders in Positano, Italy, a village stacked upon a cliffside overlooking the clear blue sea. Each round you will bid on three simultaneous auctions determining the size, quality and location of your new resorts on the three dimensional cliffside board. Quality resorts will earn the most points, but only if you have a clear view of the sea! BID Players will simultaneously choose and reveal two bid cards at the start of each round. Players must balance how they prioritize the auctions and the tiles they hope to draft! Do you spend your high value cards now to snipe a critically important tile, or save your best cards for later in the game? DRAFT Based on their bids, players draft tiles from the bid board. Your tiles determine where on the cliffside you can build that turn, how many building blocks you add to your stockpile, and the quality of your new construction. With draft tiles revealed randomly at the start of each round, every auction becomes a new tricky puzzle to navigate. BUILD Compete for seaside views as you build in three dimensions on a tiered cliffside! Building toward the bottom of the cliff means fewer opportunities for the other players to sneak a tall building in front of you. Building toward the top of the cliff lets you go incredibly tall! SCORE You'll score points for having quality buildings with a clear view out to sea, but also for collection gelato and capitalizing on the goal cards! With three random goals revealed each game, you'll be pulled into different strategies with each deal. And when you get stuck with the lesser draft tiles, at least you'll get some free gelato!

Postcards
Bonjour, and welcome to Postcards, a board game about exploring the beauty of France — one postcard at a time! Hop on your bicycle and set out on a picturesque adventure, as you compete with your friends to enjoy the most unforgettable holiday! Designed for 1-4 players, Postcards is a family friendly game that takes you on a journey across France, filled with inspiring culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious local cuisine. The aim of the game is simple: cycle through the 13 different regions of France, visit as many iconic locations as possible, and share your travels by sending postcards back home. Each postcard you send brings you one step closer to victory, so grab your friends, get pedaling, and let the adventures begin! On your turn, you'll be playing Travel cards to perform the different actions available: take a new Postcard, set up Camp, put a Stamp on one of your Postcards, or Move to a new region. Postcards are the main way you'll be scoring points during the game, so be sure to look out for postcards from areas which match your travel itinerary objective! Certain Postcards are worth more points than others, but be careful: the higher its point value, the more stamps you'll need to send it off. Stamping your Postcards uses up your precious Travel cards, limiting what you can do on your turn, so choose wisely… To send a Postcard, you have to be in the region it's from, so make sure you have enough Travel cards to get there! All that cycling is hard work, so be sure to spend some time relaxing! The Camp action allows you to enjoy local attractions in the regions you visit, collecting souvenirs as you go, which give you extra points and bonuses during play. The game ends when one player has sent their fourth postcard, and the winner is the player who’s collected the most points through their travels. Are you ready to set out on a journey of a lifetime? Postcards is a simple game that whole family can enjoy, but has plenty of strategy to keep you thinking as you play! Lovingly designed and illustrated by a team of self-professed francophiles, Postcards is sure to make you want to plan your own trip to France.

Potato Man
Potato Man is a trick-taking game with the largely unused theme of potatoes in which you can sometimes achieve the highest scores with the smallest potatoes. After dealing the cards out, players each play one card to the center of the table to form the "trick" but each of the four colors can be played only once. (The exception: In a five-player game, one color can be played twice.) Whoever plays the highest card wins the trick except that the three least valuable cards in the game (1, 2, 3 of yellow) win the trick if one of the three most valuable cards in the game (16, 17, 18 of red) is present. Whoever wins a trick leads to the next trick. Each color has its own small deck of scoring cards, and when a player wins a trick, he takes a scoring card of the corresponding color. The red color, for example, has highest playing cards on average (cards 5-18, compared to yellow 1-13), but least valued scoring cards for a trick. However, once three tricks are taken with the same color, the scoring cards of that color are depleted and players take golden "joker" scoring cards, worth the most points. Therefore you might want to keep high cards of a frequently winning color in your hand in order to maximize your points but the round ends as soon as a player cannot play a card due to the restrictions on which cards can be played in a given trick. Players tally their points, then begin a new round, with the game lasting as many rounds as the number of players. In the end, whoever tallies the most points wins!

Power Advance
“Power Advance” is designed for super-smooth flow, while offering interesting choices and opportunities for clever plans. Like most deckbuilding games, players start with weak hands, and strengthen their deck as play progresses. When a player has at least “7” buying power on their turn, they can opt to go into the “vault” and draw 2 cards. They then choose one of the cards to keep, and the other is removed from the game. This is where the “victory points” are, and other powerful cards. You can win by “point count” or “color matching”. Game will be available for sale here and at retail by April or May. Check back soon or email us at buddypalgames@gmail.com and we will let you know when they arrive at the warehouse and ready for sale. Power Grid: Bremen/Manhattan Expansion
The fight of the electric power companies in Bremen for the most customers is particularly tough and fast. Nuclear power plants are not used to supply electricity in Bremen and expensive resources are scarce. Compared to all other game boards Bremen does not have classic connecting costs between cities, but instead flat district costs. Additionally, several districts are so small, that they are limited to two spaces for networks and afterward do not. Manhattan: Manhattan has a giant demand for electric power but does not have much space for the necessary networks. Thus, the electric power companies fight nonstop for the cheapest building costs all over Manhattan. This map only offers a single huge area and the game only runs in Step 1 until the end of the game.

In Power Grid: Outpost, the colonization of the new planet advances quickly. There is a huge demand for electricity that your companies gladly fulfill. Can you purchase the best power plants, biggest shelters, and best technologies? Can you spread your network faster from city to city than your competition? Do you expand your company economically to accommodate workers permanently so that you can avoid employing expensive seasonal workers that you must dismiss to the labor market after each assignment? Only then you can win Power Grid: Outpost! Outpost was one of the major inspirations for Power Grid as that game was far ahead of its time.
