Minimum 4 players needed for the tournament.
When we reach the following number of total participants, we will raffle off 1 copy of Azul to a lucky participant. (This copy was a new copy opened and used only for this tournament):
5 players: raffle 1x Azul
9 players: raffle 2x Azul, one each to 2 different players
13 players: raffle 3x Azul, one each to 3 different players
At the end of the tournament, the 2 leftover set of tiles (box of 20 tiles) will be raffled off to players who are not in the Top 4 players.
Max Player Count - 16
Number of Rounds - 3 for 4-8 players, 4 for 9-18 players for swiss rounds, then a final game with the 4 players with the highest points.

Description - Get your ticket to the Azul Tournament! It is now your turn to embellish the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. Get the best set of tiles and earn the most points for your decorative design. Will you become the best tile laying artist?
Join us for a 3-4 round Swiss-style tournament!
All tables will only be playing with the Azul base game.
Rules:

The normal rules are applied.

At the end of the 45 minutes for each round, the game immediately ends and points are counted.

Participants are responsible for their table, preparation setup, as well as final scoring.

Players are responsible for checking the setup. There is no recourse if a game begins with an invalid setup.

At the end of the game, the results sheet is completed and verified by all participants at the table. The winner is responsible for submitting it to the tournament staff.

The winner earns 2 points.

If there is a tie (shared victory), each tied player earns 1 point.

The losers earn 0 points.

After playing the swiss rounds, the 4 players with the highest points will play against each other during the final match.

In case of a tie, use the number of wins as the first tiebreaker. Then, use the total score of each game played as the second tiebreaker.

In the final match, placing will be determined by the points in that match.
