Cowboys With Big Hearts is a dark take on the myth of the West.
It’s 1900, and we’re in Sunny Slope, a tent city and sanitarium north of Phoenix, Arizona Territory. What could compel a posse of diseased chuckaboos on death’s front porch to saddle up for one last hard desert ride?
Well, it’s a complicated ball of yarn, but at this end — the end we are holding in our sweaty hands — is an outrage, and at the other end of the string is the Death Brothers.
Whatever it is they did, we all made a promise to make it right. That probably means killing them, or trying. Maybe it means other things, too.
So let’s gather our keepsakes and our guns. The Death Brothers got a day’s lead, heading for Mexico. We made a promise to drop them, and people like us keep their word or go down trying. We’re going to find the Death Brothers and have a serious conversation about right and wrong if it’s the last thing we do.
