Role Overview

Gamers Guild is seeking a detail-oriented Shopify Specialist to support our eCommerce operation through accurate data entry, product listing creation, and catalog maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring our online store reflects clean, reliable data across tens-of-thousands of products, vendors, and pricing structures.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, pattern recognition, and making complex data usable and clear. You’ll work independently on day-to-day tasks while collaborating closely with purchasing, marketing, and operations on time-sensitive initiatives.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of in-office and remote work. In-office time is used for collaboration, coordination with purchasing and marketing teams, and handling time-sensitive tasks. Remote work is focused on structured, independent data and listing work.

Key Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain product listings in Shopify
Perform high-volume data entry with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency
Clean, normalize, and organize product data from multiple vendor sources
Review pricing, cost, and MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) constraints to ensure compliance
Reconcile product information across spreadsheets, vendor files, and internal systems
Prepare cleaned datasets for internal review, reporting, and decision-making
Identify inconsistencies, missing data, and pricing anomalies, and flag them proactively
Follow documented processes and instructions while adapting to evolving workflows
Support time-critical listing updates and launches with direct guidance from leadership

Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets (filters, formulas, sorting, validation)
Strong organizational and pattern-recognition skills
Ability to work independently and manage daily task queues
Comfortable shifting between autonomous work and more direct management when deadlines matter
Analytical mindset with the ability to spot errors, trends, and inconsistencies
Clear written communication and comfort asking clarifying questions when needed

Preferred Experience

Prior experience working in eCommerce, especially with Shopify
Hands-on data entry experience in a production or catalog environment
Experience collating and cleaning data for internal or external presentation
Familiarity with hobby gaming (TCGs, board games, miniatures) strongly preferred
Previous experience managing products from multiple vendors with different pricing matrices
General understanding of MAP policies and why they matter in retail
Experience working in a small or mid-sized business where adaptability is important
