Amid so many expansive and time-consuming "lifestyle" games, it's nice to have something that gives the same vibe but demands nothing and evokes a tremendous amount of fun. Games are short and snappy, deck-building is crazy approachable and rewarding (20 card faction-only decks plus neutrals), multiplayer actually works very well, and expansions—if they choose to make them and you choose to get them—hit maybe once a year. This is an exceptional 2-4 player experience right out of the box, complete with four unique factions and a double-sided map (1v1 and Multiplayer). Nature is a strategy board game that stands on the shoulders of the award-winning blockbuster Evolution. The innovation of Nature is a modular game system that allows players to create and explore a unique ecosystem each time they play. There is no limit to the number of modules that can be added. You can play Nature on its own, or combine modules to create over 20 unique ecosystems. The goal of Nature is to adapt your species in an ever-changing ecosystem where food is scarce and predators lurk. You will receive points for growing and sustaining the population of your species amidst two threats: starvation and predation. Adapt your species with traits like Fast to evade predators, Nesting to grow your population, or Climbing to reach fruit high in the canopy. A game of Nature takes 4 rounds, or 5 when you play with modules. Each round, players gain a new species and draw a hand of cards, bringing new life and opportunity into the ecosystem. Rounds have 2 main phases: Adapting and Feeding. At the end of each round, players will score 1 point for the population of each species they kept alive. The player that keeps the most population alive over the entire game will be the winner.
