If you're a model builder, you know how easy it is for your glue to dry out in your hobby closet. If it sits for too long, it can clog up the nozzle or dry out completely. Good maintenance practices are essential to ensure that your plastic glues or superglues are ready-to-use when you need them.

How Do I Ensure My Model Glue Lasts?

1. First and foremost, make sure your glue is capped! It's less likely to dry out if the cap is always secured tightly after you wrap up your assembly process.
2. Clear out and cleaning up the nozzle before you put your glue away will avoid clogs.
3. Be sure to store your glue in a cool, dry place as well to prevent quality issues stemming from heat or humidity.
4. Finally, keep a note nearby of the expiration date and freshen up your glue every four to six months to ensure you always have fresh glue on hand.
