Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our growing team at Gamers Guild. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all warehouse activities. Your primary duties will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and performing inventory controls. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, can lift heavy objects, and has a keen eye for detail.

This is a seasonal position, with employment starting immediately through the end of August 2024, with a potential to go through December 2024 depending on performance.

Responsibilities

• Intake:
  • Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production areas or to shipping.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Fulfillment:
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department. 
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Maintain inventory records.
• General Tasks
  
  •  Operate hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Proven warehouse experience preferred.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds) and operate warehouse equipment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills
