Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Heart of House Manager to lead our kitchen team and oversee the culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 20 to 25 staff members, handling scheduling, utilizing Toast POS for numbers reporting, ensuring professional hospitality in line with the Code of Conduct, and overseeing critical aspects such as menu development, food ordering, food cost, and inventory management.

Pay: $55,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities

• Kitchen Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a dynamic kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality culinary creations.
• Scheduling: Develop and manage kitchen staff schedules to optimize efficiency and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Numbers Reporting: Utilize Toast POS to generate accurate and timely reports related to kitchen performance, inventory, and other relevant metrics.
• Code of Conduct Adherence: Uphold and enforce the company's Code of Conduct within the kitchen, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with chefs and Executive Restaurant Manager to create innovative and appealing menus that align with the restaurant's concept and meet customer expectations.
• Food Ordering: Efficiently manage the ordering of food supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
• Food Cost Control: Implement strategies to control food costs without compromising quality, including portion control and supplier negotiations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, conduct regular audits, and optimize storage to minimize losses.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring adherence to established recipes and standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Familiarity with Toast POS system.
• Strong culinary and menu development skills.
• Knowledge of food cost management and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
