Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and Sanitization:
  • Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.
  • Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use.
• Kitchen Support:
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including countertops, sinks, and floors.
  • Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
• Utensil and Equipment Maintenance:
  • Sort and stack cleaned items appropriately for storage.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper functionality and report any issues to the kitchen supervisor.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff:
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to manage the flow of dirty and clean dishes.
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary team to meet their needs.

• Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and aprons, to ensure personal and food hygiene.
• Efficiency in Workflow:
  • Maintain a steady and efficient workflow to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen.
  • Adapt to peak service hours to ensure a constant supply of clean dishes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage the flow of dishes and utensils.
