Job Title: Assistant Store Manager - Tournament Organizer (ASM-TO)
Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a task-oriented people leader who can take and give direction well in a busy retail environment. As the ASM-TO, you will oversee the play floor and ensure that the events are running smoothly and on time, the prizing and promos are handled appropriately, store credit is being applied accurately, oversee the storefront and employees on a day-to-day basis, assist the GM in achieving sales goals, ensuring all daily floor tasks are completed, and running the various events that take place during your shift. You will also be one of the Managers on Duty (MODs) on the floor during your shifts in the absence of the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Staff Management:
- Delegate daily tasks to the GSRs to ensure store cleanliness, stock rotation, and proper coverage at the POS.
- Train staff on tasks and procedures while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Assist the General Manager with employee development and long-term growth.
- Customer Service and Escalations:
- Act as a Manager on Duty to ensure positive customer experiences.
- De-escalate customer complaints using store guidelines and policies.
- Enforce the Code of Conduct and escalate any Code of Conduct complaints appropriately.
- Event Management and Execution:
- Manage tournament software on the computers for in-store events.
- Coordinate with Events Manager to create and post event listings online.
- Allocate table space for events to avoid seating clashes.
- Oversee GSR-TOs so events run smoothly and on time.
- Ensure Promotional materials are available for events.
- Accurately distribute prizing and store credit

Submit events via their respective event software
- Storefront Management:
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Responsible for store appearance and cleanliness.
- Handle employee complaints and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of a similar role in the retail industry. Preferably in the tabletop industry.
- Unwavering belief and support of the Gamers Guild AZ Code of Conduct and values.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Shift(s): Evening; Day. Available as 8-hour shifts.
- Pay: $21.50 - $24.00 per hour.
- Additional $1 per hour for Fluent Bilingual Speakers (Languages including but not limited to Spanish, Chinese, ASL etc)
