Drafts are a popular limited format, draft play involves you drafting individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The main advantage of draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever cards they get at the start of the event.
Setting up for a Draft:
Open the 3 packs being used.
Without looking at the other cards, remove the Leaders and Bases from each pack.
Set the other cards aside.
Drafting:
First, you will draft the leaders. Each player will choose a leader and pass the remaining 2 to their left.
Repeat this process until each player has drafted 3 leaders.
Next, you will draft the cards remaining in the 3 booster packs.
Open your first booster pack, pick one card, and pass the remaining cards face down to your right.
Repeat this process until all cards have been drafted, switching the direction you pass cards with each pack.
Once the drafting process is completed, each player will use the cards in their draft pools to build a deck following these guidelines:
Your deck must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 30-card draw deck.
Your draw deck can include any number of copies of the same card.
