In Brazil in the late 1800s and early 1900s, large landowners called "coronéis" starved the north-east of the country in an extensive area that included the Sertão desert. In this climate of corruption and abuse, the Cangaceiros — bandits who violently opposed the status quo — were born. Cangaceiros is a strategic competitive game in which each player plays a gang that tries to survive in hostile desert territories while being hunted by the Volantes, the state police trained to kill them. Each band has a chief chosen from the twenty available, each with its own unique abilities and characteristics. The management of each seven-card deck is fundamental, with players using cards to collect resources, place bandits to guard a region, attack the Volantes, assault the prison of the city of Recife, convert accumulated resources into fame, train their leader, and recruit new members for the gang. You win by accumulating fame points, which are obtained by attacking the Volantes, but also by training your boss to solve his life goal and help him retire in glory. You also gain fame points in several other ways, and whoever collects the most fame wins.

There are Word cards and Action cards:Word cards have a unique word, along with its definition and source language, and one of seven symbols on the top: heart, lightning, cloud, star, sun, moon, or diamond.Action cards have special instructions that affect gameplay and strategy. At the start of each game, each player is dealt seven random cards from the deck, which they keep secret from other players. On each turn, players have three options: Play a word card. On a player's turn they can do two actions. The actions consist of playing cards from their hand, discarding a card to move one space, or refilling their hand back up to their draw size. When a character lands on a gameboard space, they can also use the do listed action on that space as part of their move. At the beginning of the game, a limited number of golden tickets are added to the Wonka Bars depending on the number of players. The bars are then mixed up. The whole point of the game is to try and earn as many Wonka Bars as possible throughout the game to better your chances of ending with a Golden Ticket. When all Wonka Bars from the pool of bars are claimed the game is over. At this point all players will unwrap the bars they have earned. Any player that ends with at least one Golden Ticket wins! Any player that does not end with a Golden Ticket loses.

Watergate: Change in History is a pair of promo cards for Watergate that was originally given to attendees of the 2020 Camp Capstone virtual convention. Later available as part of Pack C from the Dice Tower 2021 Kickstarter campaign. One card is for the Nixon player and the other is for the Editor player. If one game of Watergate follows another without the players switching roles, whichever player lost receives their promo card, with that card providing an advantageous action that may be used once at any point in the game.
