A Reiner Knizia classic reimagined! Featuring The Dice Tower Seal of Excellence! Nightmare Productions puts you in charge of a movie studio that specializes in horror films. To be a box office success, you need to successfully compete with other players in auctions for tokens representing creatures, directors, props, scary locations, musical scores, and cameo’s (more monsters!) of varying values. The auction is a basic rising offer with passing until one winning bid remains. Winners pay into the pot with money tokens, and the rest of the players share the pot each turn. So, it's a closed economy with players trying to time their bid for what they really need to complete films.When won, the tiles get placed on blank spaces on players' studio film-strips, to complete the movie’s production. As films are completed, the points value is scored and new film-strip is taken. There are bonus awards for first films completed (in each of the Supernatural, Creature, and Slasher categories), best film of each of the four seasons (rounds), best monster, and even worst film! Whoever scores the biggest movie ratings, and most awards will win the game!
