Job Title: HR Specialist (HR)
Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a task-oriented, empathetic individual to work as the HR Specialist for Gamers Guild. As the HR Specialist, you will oversee onboarding of new staff, focus on retention of existing employees, assist in the training of new and current employees on company policies, benefits, and SOPs, and assist in the performance management and reviews of all employees.
Responsibilities:
- New Employee Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Implement and oversee recruitment processes, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Interview candidates for openings across various departments
- Work with management to determine staffing needs
- Employee Retention and Upkeep
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and promote career growth.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management as needed.
- Performance Management and Reviews
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure employees are given quarterly performance reviews, and compensation is adjusted based on tenure and performance.
- Work with Management to deliver appropriate performance management training and documentation
- Policy and SOP Training and Development
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR operations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and values.
Qualifications:
- Unwavering belief and support of the Gamers Guild AZ Code of Conduct and values.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
