  Kingless is a fast-paced, easy to learn, hard to master card game. Kingless is designed to capture the imagination as you and 1-5 friends compete for the highest score while sabotaging each other using Dwarf themed cards with rich varied artwork that brings the game to life. Each player has a hand composed of Dwarves, Events and Items drawing from the deck each turn or when certain cards are played. Dwarves and Items have an associated score which when in play counts towards a player's total score. Events can be used to remove other players' Dwarves or even make them your own. Turns are taken sequentially until an end game condition is reached, leaving all players a final turn to either push for the highest score or drag their friends down to their level.

Where’s the fun in that? Why not take a trek off to the side and see what lurks there? The Side Quest expansion for Munchkin Dungeon gives players plenty more to search out. Along with new Threats, Rooms, and Wandering Monsters, it also introduces Side Quest tokens. These are set out at the start of the game and players can earn them by completing certain achievements. Each one will up a Munchkin’s Fame at the end of the game. There are also two new heroes ready to enter the Dungeon: Rangers and Halflings!

We wouldn’t be doing our due diligence if we didn’t have a Cthulhu expansion. And going a little mad never hurt anyone, right? The Cthulhu expansion for Munchkin Dungeon will cause everyone to go a little bit mad. The set includes new Threats, new Rooms and Room Monsters, and the big cheese himself, Cthulhu. This new boss will test everyone’s nerves. The set also introduces Madness tokens. Players gain Madness for entering special rooms in the Dungeon. Going a little mad might not be so bad, as some of the symptoms are beneficial. But get too much, and you might leave the dungeon escorted by men in white coats.

  Munchkin Apocalypse is a core set in the Munchkin series with an end of the world theme that includes natural disasters, zombie takeovers, Armageddon, alien invasions, nuclear war, etc. And while this is still a standard Munchkin game where you try to level up by killing the monsters, stealing the treasure, and stabbing your buddy, there's a new "Seal" mechanic that significantly changes the gameplay.   Seals are a reference to the biblical seals of the Apocalypse. They can be opened and closed, although it's typically more difficult to close them. Once seven Seals are open, the game ends immediately, and the player with the highest combat strength (excluding levels) is the winner. The Seal mechanic adds a sense of impending doom to the game, meant to mimic the sense of impending doom for a real apocalypse. It also tends to create situations where the group works together to close a Seal in order to prevent a player from winning via the Seal mechanic. So there is more teamwork than in a regular Munchkin game. The balance of the deck is also different than the other Munchkin sets. There are a lot more Disaster cards, which are equivalent to traps and curses, so bad things tend to occur more frequently. Also, there are more monsters, especially high-level monsters. To offset this, however, there are more item enhancers and high-bonus items. It's been stated in the Munchkin forums that Munchkin Apocalypse is harder to play and is intended more for seasoned Munchkin veterans. Munchkin Apocalypse has four new classes but does not have races, powers, or other "thingies". It includes Undead and Shark monsters, which follow special rules. The game comes with 180 cards (92 Doors, 76 Treasures, 12 Seals). The Seal cards are a different size than the regular cards--they're square and are shorter but wider (2.75" x 2.75"). The included d6 is orange with lime green pips, similar in color to the orange dice in the +6 Bag o' Radioactive Munchkin d6.
