    Not Enough Mana

    1 in stock

Not Enough Mana is a "potion" drinking card game for 3-6 fearless wizards (legal potion drinking age may vary depending on your kingdom’s laws). You’ll be destroying each other using epic spells, curses and artifacts while replenishing your mana by drinking magical potions*. Your goal is to eliminate all other wizards from the game, either through depleting all their health points or by K.O. (also known as Too Much Mana). In their turn, players cast spells and curses, equip artifacts and face epic events by drawing and playing cards. Spells require mana points, which the player can replenish at any point in the game by drinking mana potions. If a player loses all health points or is incapable of making a move in his turn, he is removed from the game. The last player wins.

  • Gamers Guild AZ Rio Grande Games Guild Master (Pre-Order) GTS

    Guild Master

    3 in stock

Guild Master is a fantasy tabletop game for 2-4 players. Players manage an adventuring guild, competing with each other to become the most famous guild as an escalating series of events threaten the land. In each of the nine rounds, players simultaneously and secretly program orders to send teams of adventurers out to do the following: Recruit more adventurers. Attempt increasingly difficult contracts to gain money, fame and other rewards. Hire builders to upgrade their guild to increase their capacity to do all of that more. All players then sequentially resolve their planned orders, starting with each players' 1st order, then 2nd order and so on, and in the order they appear on the board (builders, then adventurers A-F then contracts 1-6). Players plan and program orders carefully around other players' likely moves, various strategies, risks, and rewards. They manage their guilds' growth and optimize combinations between their adventurer abilities and contract rewards to achieve their goals. As the game advances, guilds become more powerful and must rise to meet an increasing number of game state changing threats. Recruiting increasingly powerful adventurers and upgrading your guild capacity are both key to victory. There are various ways to exert control over the board, your dice rolls, and your chances to get what you want. Most orders are resolved by paying coin or rolling dice based on your adventurers' skills. Sometimes players resolve these orders alone, and sometimes cooperating with, or in conflict with, other guild's adventuring teams attempting the same thing at the same time. When players' orders overlap, coins and negotiated prisoners' dilemma cooperate/conflict skill checks resolve the contest. Negotiation over shared goals, contract bonuses and reward splits is encouraged and rewarding, but not absolutely required to win. Everything you do earns you fame (victory points) and other rewards. At the end of nine rounds, any remaining coins are converted to fame at a rate of 5 coins = 1 fame. Then any special prestige upgrade fame is added. The most famous guild is then declared the winner.

  • Gamers Guild AZ Indie Boards and Cards Among Thieves (Pre-Order) GTS

    Among Thieves

    1 in stock

Among Thieves is a game of deception and greed. You will work together to extort information from higher level employees of the largest corporations in the world. However, no one can be trusted. Win by having the most money, but be careful – the player with the least honor is eliminated. Each round one player is the Heistmaster. They will choose who to take on the heist with them. All of the players can offer whatever they want to go on the heist. The Heistmaster can accept whatever deal they want, but no promises are binding. Once the team has been chosen, the players will simultaneously choose whether to be honorable or dishonorable. If every player chooses honorable, you will flip over one card for each player. Each player on the heist will gain ISK equal to the total shown. If one or more players chose dishonorable, you will flip one card for each honorable player, but only the dishonorable player(s) will gain ISK. They will gain ISK equal to twice the total shown. Finally, if anyone chose dishonorable, all the dishonorable players will lose 1 honor and all the honorable players will gain 1 honor. Will you share the ill-gotten gains of your exploits or will you backstab your partners in crime and keep the money for yourself?

  • Gamers Guild AZ 2Tomatoes Games Idus Martii GTS

    Idus Martii

    3 in stock

Idus Martii is a hidden role game for 5 to 8 players.According to Plutarch, a seer had warned that harm would come to Caesar no later than the Ides of March. On his way to the Theatre of Pompey, where he would be assassinated, Caesar passed the seer and joked, "The Ides of March are come", implying that the prophecy had not been fulfilled, to which the seer replied "Aye, Caesar; but not gone."Players are members of the Senate who must plot in favor of or against the magnicide of Julius Caesar. But it is not that easy, as they need to identify who shares their convictions in order to partner against the other players...whilst keeping a look out for those only looking to fatten their purse. There are four roles that are dealt each turn:The "Consul" decides who plays in the round by assigning the other roles. The Consul is passed in clockwise order at the start of each round. There are two "Edils" who vote, secretly, whether Caesar should live or die.The "Praetor" sneaks a peek at one of the two Edils’ played vote cards and may then force them to exchange their card. These two votes are then shuffled, revealed and their results will either move the ‘kill’ or ‘save’ caesar token up the track. The game ends once everyone has played the Consul twice. Then players reveal their role card, total votes are tallied and Caeser either lives…or dies. But the decisions are not that easy. At the beginning of the game, players are dealt two faction cards (either in favour, against or neutral to “magnicide”) and must discard down to one mid-way through the game… keeping all players on their toes!

  • Gamers Guild AZ Alewood Games Alewood GTS

    Alewood

    Out of stock

Alewood is an inclusive Wild West roleplaying drinking card game where alcohol and consumption are optional but silliness is absolutely required. It re-imagines the drinking game format by rewarding rambunctious roleplaying and allowing players to only drink as much or as little as they please. Players roleplay as the various townfolk (the banker, the doctor, the saloonist etc) working together to defeat the Outlaws but only one player will win the game with the highest bounty amount. Players will use their unique character Grit-Meters to measure their pint glass anytime a shootout begins to determine their shooting initiative. Each meter is arranged differently and only players landing the killing shot will collect the bounty - so faster isn't always better and drinking less may give you more. Cards are strategically used to give yourself flexibility on the initiative or (more importantly) to hinder other players by giving them silly acting prompts to follow. Hinders pile up fast if you're not careful and if you're caught not performing your prompt, you're punished by discarding the precious ammo you've been working so hard to collect. There can be no bounty for those without bullets. Drinking can alter your in-game strategy and earn you upgrades and everything achievable by consumption can also be done through card play and game manipulation so anyone can be a threat at the table. Blast through the evening as you sling pints and perform hilarious character prompts turning your game night into an event to remember!
